“The Kissing Hand”

“The Kissing Hand is a story for any child who
confronts a difficult situation, and for the child within each of us who
sometimes needs reassurance.”
Today Room 108 read the Kissing Hand which is about a
raccoon that is worried about going to school. The students noticed that the
time of day the raccoon went to school is at night. This sparked the student’s
interest and we began to discuss Nocturnal Animals (animals that are active at
night). The students came up with various animals such as: owls and bats. Next
week, we will explore this topic further and play games, create art and read
more stories.
