This morning all of the Kindergarten students learned
about Terry Fox and his journey across Canada. Our morning story was “Terry and Us: The
Story of Terry Fox” and we discussed WHY we are running for Terry Fox. We
emphasized the important of raising money and awareness for people with cancer.
We discussed Teamwork.
Cooperation, Empathy, Respect and Kindness. The students
enjoyed the story and were able to describe why what he did was so important.
After the story, we all met in the gym and began our
walk around the neighborhood. Throughout our walk we would chant “Terry Fox”
and discuss why we were walking.
